(Nasdaq: MMWW), announced today that Lotus Development Corporation is now distributing the highly successful communication, learning and support tool, Mentor™ for Lotus Notes, in four strategic markets—North America, Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Mentor™, developed by VSI Communications Group, allows Lotus Notes users to quickly master the software program by delivering just-in-time learning and performance support at the desktop to users regardless of where they are located. As its name implies, Mentor™ for Lotus Notes acts as a personal mentor—serving as an expert trainer and a virtual resource employees can turn to when they have a specific question about Notes. As such, Mentor has become the preferred communication, learning and support tool for Notes, with more than 2 million seat licenses in place at such corporations as IBM, Goodyear Tire and Rubber, Duke Energy, Transamerica, Reuters, DuPont, and many other Fortune 1,000 companies.

What Is Mentor™ for Lotus Notes

Key to Mentor's effectiveness are its multimedia training modules delivered in real time: 30- to 90- second multimedia sound bites that allow users to learn on the fly as they are using the technology, working and producing for their organization. Mentor™ for Lotus Notes contains more than five hours of multimedia communication, learning and support material, yet requires less than 40 megabytes of disk space.

The New Mentor for R5

The new Mentor™ for Lotus Notes R5 adds to VSI's family of Mentor products. "Mentor's R5 version benefits from our five years of experience developing Mentor and three years applying our approach to Lotus Notes," says Bob Smith, VSI's executive vice president. "The scripts, graphics and access techniques have been upgraded and enhanced, providing a more complete, easier user experience."

What Does It Cost?

Mentor™ for Lotus Notes costs less per user than a half-hour course or CBT, the price of a single user manual, or one Help Desk call, and these costs can usually be recovered in a few months of support savings alone. Manufacturer's suggested retail price for a 1,000-seat license (English version) is $15 USD per seat. Mentor is also available in smaller quantities (including a 25-seat starter pack), and at a discount for larger volume purchases.
