Dallas, Texas, Oct. 09, 2000 VSI Communications Group, Inc. announced today from the Microsoft Exchange Conference 2000 that Mentor for Windows 2000 is now available as the latest entry in its line of e-Learning solutions. The newest just-in-time multimedia application from VSI allows users to master Windows 2000 while at their desktops working in the upgraded operating system (or something similar). In addition, the company announced that it is expanding its Mentor product offering with the development of Mentor for Windows Me, Mentor for Word 2000 and Mentor for Excel 2000. All products are due for release Q4 2000.
As corporations worldwide incorporate Windows 2000, their employees need to quickly master the new operating system at a minimum cost with maximum results. Mentor for Windows 2000 contains more than 160 multimedia demonstrations that show and tell users just what they want to know, just when they need to know it. Users access Mentor for Windows 2000 on the fly, while they are using Windows.
"As corporations begin the migration to Windows 2000, they have discovered one of the biggest costs is the loss of employee productivity ," says Dan Gallo, president and CEO of VSI Communications Group. "Mentor for Windows 2000 provides a just-in-time solution for companies that need a highlydynamic strategy to accelerate end user assimilation, while providing an increased level of technical support, and at the same time, desire to decrease associated help desk costs. Mentor for Windows 2000 is designed so new users can quickly achieve competence in the new OS, while more skilled users can transform themselves into power users of Windows 2000."
Mentor provides users a natural way to learn advanced functions of the Windows 2000 operating system including enhanced Web integration, application customization, and file synchronization, and also provides an easy way to learn how to access their desktops remotely.
Mentor for Windows 2000 lists for $17.50 a seat per 1,000 seats. Smaller quantities and larger volume discounts are available. Mentor, the core brand behind Mentor for Windows 2000, is also available for Outlook 2000 and, with the soon-to-be released versions for Word and Excel 2000, continues VSI's strategy of providing e-Learning solutions and support to corporations deploying Office 2000.
