Mentor for iNotes 6 Added to Lotus Mentor Portfolio
Latest Version of the Popular End User Deployment Solution
Norwalk, Connecticut, USA, July 2, 2003 Mentor Media Group, Inc. has released the newest version of its highly successful Mentor product line. Mentor for Domino Web Access 6 (iNotes) adds to the company's extensive portfolio, which includes Mentors for Notes 6, Sametime 3, including "Best Practices for Sametime," QuickPlace, and Windows and Office 2000 and XP.
A Mentor makes users successful with software or e-business applications without trainingusing short, just-in-time, sight and sound multimedia presentations and demonstrations, accessed by a single click right from the application or a web browser.
"Any company migrating to iNotes 6 or installing iNotes for the first time will save a lot of time and money with Mentor," says Dan Gallo, CEO of Mentor Media Group. "Internal Help Desk calls cost $30-40 apiece, and we typically eliminate 20-40% of them. Mentors for Lotus products usually pay for themselves in the first three months of deployment and deliver well over 1,000% ROI the first year."
Mentor for iNotes 6 is the second Mentor for iNotes, expanding and enhancing the previous Mentor for iNotes R5. "We've added 70% more content," says Dave Swenson, Operations Director for Mentor Media Group, "covering all the new features, improving our material on the returning features, and enhancing our indexing and search facilities-without increasing the price! It's one of our finest Mentors to date."
A Mentor gives people the three things they need to master new software: Communication, Learning, and Support. First, Mentor lets them know what's coming, how it will help them, the big picture of how it works, and an overview of its functions. Then it gives them what they need to get started, and as they apply the new software in their work, Mentor is always there to help them, when they get stuck or need to do a new task or one they've forgotten. They don't have to leave their desks, stop what they're doing, interrupt someone else, or call a Help Desk. All this adds up to a shorter rollout, more productive employees, and a faster, bigger return on your company's Notes investment.
You reach Mentor for Lotus Notes with one click from Notes or a browser, tell it what you want to know, then view the talking presentation or demonstration. You can even toggle between Mentor and Notes, so Mentor can lead you through the task in real time. No need to remember the details of Notes tasks. Mentor remembers them for you.
"It's entirely flexible," says Gallo. "It can reside on a LAN or Internet server or on a user's hard drive. Server installation takes less than an hour; then you're ready to go. And because it's just an HTML "container" or a Domino database, it introduces no new software to be administered or maintained."
