Mentor Helps Dupont... again!
Norwalk, Connecticut, USA, July 09, 2004 - Norwalk, Connecticut, When the newest version of Lotus Notes hits the desk of every Dupont employee, it will contain the Mentor smart icon. Dupont, headquartered in Wilmington, Delaware, will be using Mentor for Lotus Notes® as a primary means of getting their 45,000+ PC-enabled employees to master the latest version of Lotus’s robust groupware application. In addition, by purchasing a three-year maintenance agreement, Dupont also guaranteed they’ll be using Mentor for their next major rollout as well.
Dupont has a long history with Mentor, dating back to June 1998 when they purchased the very first release of Mentor for Lotus Notes 4.5. “We view the Dupont order as very important, not only because they're a well known company but because they are a return customer,” said Dan Gallo, President of Mentor CLS, A Learn.com Company. “The best proof we have that the Mentor way is successful is that we have over 90% customer retention in the 6 ˝ years we’ve been selling our product.” Among the best attributes of the Mentor products are their ability to speed major deployments, to significantly reduce training costs and time, and to reduce Help Desk calls by 20% to 40%.
Gallo continues, “Back in mid-1998, Mentor for Lotus Notes was our only product and we’d sold a total of less than 80,000 product licenses. At that time the product contained a total of 220 units of just-in-time multimedia help and only delivered 16 colors--a far cry from today! Six years later, we have over a dozen Mentor products and we’re sneaking up on 8 million product licenses sold, which includes over 3.5 million licenses for our Notes product alone! Meanwhile, our Notes product contains over 400 multimedia units and our content remains the premium quality product on the market.””
